Orca FAQ: transport and removals software questions

Orca is operations software for UK transport, logistics and house removals companies. It comes as two products: Orca Transport & Logistics for hauliers, carriers and couriers, and Orca Removals for moving companies.

It brings orders and trips into one place. You can upload orders in bulk, assign them, plan routes and follow progress, with status updates shared between the office dashboard, the driver app and the Orca Telegram bot. It also covers customer records and reporting.

Yes. Orca has DVLA licence checks built in, run through Orcas Informatica's own Access to Driver Data account, so you do not need DVLA accreditation yourself. You send each driver a consent link, on WhatsApp or any message, and they sign it on their phone. The link works for 7 days and can only be signed once.

Yes. An operator can require a walkaround check before a trip. The driver app asks the 27 DVSA items one at a time in the official order, and a driver who finds a defect grades it as minor or safety critical and can add up to five photos for the office. The app works in English and Turkish.

Yes. Orca brings WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger and email into one inbox, with the customer's orders and history beside the conversation. Orca's AI drafts each reply from facts and rules your company writes, and a person checks every reply before it is sent.

Yes. It scales from a single van up to multi-depot firms. Smaller operators usually start with surveys, quoting, the diary and invoicing, then switch on crew and materials management as they take on staff.

You send a link, they open it on their phone and walk you through the property. You tick items into a room-by-room inventory as you go, and the volume and price build up live. The customer does not need to install anything.

Yes. We import your customers, quotes and job history from spreadsheets or a CSV export from your existing system, and set up your pricing rules with you before you go live.

Yes. Orca Removals and Orca Transport & Logistics share the same customer records, vehicles and invoicing, so a firm doing both household moves and contract deliveries runs one account rather than two systems.

Orcas Informatica Ltd is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), registration number ZC207794, and processes personal data in line with UK GDPR. Our privacy policy sets out what we collect, how we use it, how long we keep it and your rights.
